Yes, you heard right that upcoming Star Wars movie will start releasing from 2022, during Christmas weekend. On Tuesday, Disney announced the releasing dates for 3 new upcoming Star war movies. The very first start war movie will be released on 16 December 2022.
This means there is a gap of three years between Star War: The Rise of Skywalker and Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star War movie. If we talk about the other two movies then the second one will release on December 20th, 2022. The third one is going to release on 18th December 2026.
But the names of these three movies are not announced yet and even there is no confirmation about what will be the storyline. It will be a totally new story or could be related to Saga-style films or maybe a mixture of both.
Star Wars Movies: First movie by Rian Johnson
Lucasfilm and Disney just made an announcement that a series of Star Wars Movies are in progress. The first movie is made by Rian Johnson and he is taking care of all the parts related to writing and directing. Rian Johnson is the writer and director of one of the Star War Movie – The Last Jedi.
Lucasfilm and Disney also said back in 2017 that Johnson will introduce new characters from the corner of the galaxy which was never been explored before.
Collaboration with Game of Thornes Creators
Not only that, Lucasfilm and Disney is also working on movies with the creators of Game of Thrones. But one thing that they didn’t explore is what kind of movie they are planning to make together.
But which movie will come first? So my answer is, there are high chances that Johnson’s movie will come first. Because he was the first to announce his film.
The Game of Thrones’ creators said that they will start working on “Star Wars” movies as soon last season of GOT ends.
Disney also reported that they will stop the Star war franchise and then reset after The Rise of Skywalker. So this is a good news for all the Star war fans. They will be able to watch new content in the coming future.
