Finally, AT&T, the U.S.’s largest carrier has launched 5G coverage in New York City. Both Sprint and Verizon had been promising to launch 5G in the country’s largest city, but AT&T did it! However, there is sad news for average network customers.
AT&T launches a 5G network in New York City
A few days back, AT&T announced to launch 5G network which will be available in New York City. According to the reports, the service will be limited to business users, and available in selected areas. So do not rush to your nearest store to purchase a 5G phone if you are AT&T customer.

Samsung’s Galaxy 10 5G will be able to access first to AT&T 5G+ networks. On the plus side, the new network is a great deal for customers, unlike the 5GE which came out before. As we all know, AT&T has always been transparent to its customers when it comes to rolling out new networks.
Moreover, reports say that AT&T’s 5G network is not complete yet! So right now, the access is very limited and doesn’t reach that far. Additionally, the practical 5G will launch in the upcoming months when the company launches the 5G networks on sub-6GHz frequencies.

Well, the good news is that the customers will witness nationwide coverage in the first half of 2020. However, we are still unclear whether AT&T’s 5G service will reach every corner of the network at that time.

Unfortunately, AT&T has announced any launch date or any other details about their new plans yet! So we are not sure when the people of the city will be able to access the new network.
There are some speculations that the company will first test their new service in the metropolitan region before releasing across the country. So this means 5G and 5G+ will arrive at the same time in the wider city area.
