The organizers of the Straight Pride Parade are in the limelight from the day they announced this unique event. The group Super Happy Fun America has applied for the permit of the event. Now, they have reported that the three members of the group have received some suspicious envelopes with no return address in their mailbox.
Samson Racioppi discovered the suspicious envelope
Samson Racioppi is a member of Super Happy Fun America who discovered this suspicious envelope in his mailbox around 1.30 p.m. When he shook the envelope, he could hear some stuff shaking inside. The envelope was heavily taped which made it look fishier. And then he reported the same. The hazmat team ceased the street and told the neighbours to leave their houses until the mail was investigated.
Later on, when Racioppi asked his friends about the same it was found that two other organizers including the vice-president, Mark Sahady too received the same mail. Sahady too informed the police when he discovered that the envelope had some sand-like substance.
The envelopes were filled with glitter
A police officer, later told Sahady that the envelope contained glitter and a hand-written letter. However, a spokesperson from the FBI ensured that the mail did not pose any threat to public safety. And, they are further investigating the case. Neither Massachusetts State Police nor the FBI has given any comment about the sender of the package. Their investigation is still in process.

The group Super Happy Fun America is organising an event called Straight Pride Parade on 31st August. According to Sahady, this event is not at all “anti-gay” but a “pro-straight” event. Till now, 350 volunteers have joined their event. According to the permit, around 2,000 volunteers are expected. Sahady also marked that these suspicious letters definitely have some connection with the parade.
