May is the season of  Cannes 2019 this year. The 72nd Cannes Film Festival began from May 14th at it’s usual place in France. This whole week was full of unusual films and quirky looks of superstars. A lot of films were reviewed, some actors condemned while the others were criticized for their misleading actions. 

Let’s get to the overview,  audience was missing the most.

The inaugural ceremony of  the Cannes 2019 saw a premiere of an unusual Zombie Comedy. The Dead Don’t Die by Jim Jarmusch draw attention of people but for very wrong reasons.

Until now, films like Pain and Gloryand, Little Joe and The Lighthouse have been praised for their superb content and active direction.

The festival also experienced reunion of Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas. Their movie, Pain and Glory is vying hard to win top prizes at the festival.

Based on an autobiography, the film’s about a movie director whose past keeps coming back to him. Banderas is taking the lead while Cruz is playing her mother at youth.

Furthermore, Jessica Hausner is coming up as a strong contendor for the Cannes Palme d’Or for her sci-fi thriller Little Joe. Indian actor, Hina Khan made her debut on Cannes 2019.

The critics appreciated her for acting skills in debut movie. The movie depicts struggle of a girl that lives near the Line of Control(LoC) area in Kargil during wartime.

Like always, a number of controversies also hit the sets of Cannes 2019. Bill Murray of The Dead Don’t Die dozed off during the opening speeches of festival.

Besides, the security staff shamelessly sends Greta Bellamacina back since she showed up with her child at Cannes 2019. However, organizers later apologized for the inconvenience caused.

A number of critically acclaimed movies are in row to get featured in the Cannes 2019. Once Upon A Time in Hollywood by DiCaprio will see it’s premiere on May 21.

The movie will saw the duo of Brad and Leonardo. They are sure to rock the stage with their bold acting skills. The big surprise is in the end. Sylvester Stallone: live and unleashed is another strongly awaited movie in Cannes.
