In the 11th hour move to stop Kawhi Leonard along with Anthony Davis and LeBron James from Lakers the Clippers are trading some young talents. The Clippers are going for four future players and a couple of other swaps to Thunders for George. The Clippers are willing to send Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to thunders for the deal.
George and Leonard being good mates always wanted to play together in a team. So George and his agent approached the general manager of Thunders for the trade to be settled. Leonard always wanted to walk to the champion team and wished George as the co-star around him.
George is expected to miss the starting few weeks of the new season as he is still recovering from a shoulder injury. With the events of the Friday night, Staples Centre is going to be an eventful arena in NBA. It will be Leonard and George vs. James and Davis up for trade.
New seasons new hopes:
Leonard has never been a settled unit, he had held meetings with three teams in the free agency as per the sources. He has met with Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and the Clippers. All these events have taken place in the past week with Toronto receiving the final talk.
Leonard’s camp has always wished to ask for more time, making Lakers wait up to 9 p.m. Pacific time on Friday night. To delay the trade events of Davis trade so that it could be extended as late as Sunday. No reasons were provided by Leonard’s team for the intentions.
