Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes Event details

With the next weekly update scheduled on July 30, Destiny 2 will witness the start of the Solstice of Heroes event. This will be the last event before the Season of Opulence (Year 2 content) ends.

New activities are on the horizon as is the case with other Seasonal events like the Festival of the Lost. Guardians, brace yourselves for some sweet sweet loot!

Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes event rewards

However, unlike past events, the only reward won’t be an armour. Apart from players being able to level up their armour by completing certain objectives, there is a multitude of cosmetic rewards to be collected during the limited-time event.

Destiny 2 will also make some changes to their premium Eververse Store. Bungie, the studio behind the Destiny franchise, explained all the detail of the Solstice of Heroes in a blog post along with a pretty dope trailer.

The armour in this event is unlike all the previous armours in the game. If you complete certain objectives, the armour will be upgraded slowly all the way to Masterworked “Majestic”. The event will end on August 27, 2019.

The Solstice armour will be a part of the brand new “Armour 2.0” system. The upcoming expansion Shadowkeep will allow you to trade the properties of one armour to another, basically allowing you to customize your armour the way you want.

How to upgrade the new Armour

Apart from completing a set of objectives, the new event will spice up the game by dropping orbs. When you play different activities in Destiny 2, you will get some orbs matching the player’s elemental subclass.

This will give additional buffs to the element you are using. Supposedly, this is part of the process of upgrading the new armour.

Shadowkeep, the latest expansion in the Destiny 2 universe will be launching on September 17, so keep an eye out!
