The fans have been eagerly waiting for the first look from DC movie- Joker. Finally, the director Todd Phillips shared a photo on his Instagram handle from the sets of Joker. He also confirmed that the movie will be rated ‘R’.

The director of the much-awaited film, Joker shared a picture of Joaquin Phoenix from the sets in his Instagram post. In the picture, Joaquin was looking at his white-painted face in the mirror. He captioned the picture, “Finishing Touches”.
On this post, Phillips replied to a fan’s comment confirming about the ‘R’ rating of the film. He wrote, “It will be Rated R. I’ve been asked this a lot. Just assumed people knew. Sorry.”

Thus, viewers under age 17 will have to accompany their parents to watch the film.
Batman: The Killing Joke was the only other Batman film to be rated R before Joker.

The story is set in the Extended Universe of DC Warner Bros’. According to Todd, the movie is an exploration of a man disrespected by a society that is not only a rough character study but also a cautionary tale. Apart from Phoenix, Robert De Niro will also feature in the film.
Unfortunately, many tots who were waiting for the movie might not be able to watch it in the theatres.
