Capcom passed the DmC: Devil May Cry 2, a restart of its Devil May Cry archive. In 2013, the franchise took the initiative to do so. However, the discussion among the game players leads to criticism. The criticism eventually took place, when the look resembled with Dante on the game. Another reason was also proclaimed for not taking the story of Devil May Cry 4.
Due to the negligence of the franchise along with rejection from gamers the DMC 2 failed. However, the sales growth or expectation of the company lead to failure and it affected the development of other sequels.
Devil May Cry 2: Is it possible?
However, all the above rejection may seem to be neglected at one point. The main big shot problem with Devil May Cry is that Ninja Theory is under Microsoft. The Ninja Theory who developed the game in 2003 is under the acquisition of Microsoft. For which, Microsoft won’t let any game to release exclusively in one platform. Whereas, the game wants to be released under the Xbox Games studio that’s exclusive to Xbox.
Therefore, if there is any deal-breaker between the three which includes – Ninja Theory, Microsoft and the Capcom. This could lead to release of the game technically. Meanwhile, the original score of the game has left ashes, if so, this could be pretty amazing to cover up.
The sequel has a new release
The recent release of Devil May Cry 5 has an overall positive result worldwide. The game has sold over 2 million copies overall which compensated to its failed previous project. However, the Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 are released on various console platforms – PS4, Xbox and windows.
For now, Capcom is in high exceeding sales and a lot of positive reviews. There can be a chance for Devil May Cry 2 to be released with a deal breaker. If that does not happen then a successor of Devil May Cry can be initiated. So, this could lead the fans and gamers can have a closure of what was left behind.
The Devil May Cry 5 released on 8th March 2019 under Capcom.
