OVO Sound record label was founded by Drake in 2012 and he has been hosting the OVO Fest since 2010. It is an annual music concert where Drake invites many different celebrities to come and perform. He holds the festival in his hometown of Toronto and hasn’t missed a year ever before last year.
OVO Fest and Consistency
Drake has been very consistent with the OVO Fest every year since 2010. It has been his way to show his dominance in the music industry. The only gap in this timeline was of last year when Drake didn’t mention the Fest at all. We’re pretty sure he thought we wouldn’t notice it but we ain’t dumb, Drake!
He promised recently that the Fest would be back soon and we’re thrilled that it is. He announced the Fest on his Instagram after sharing this post:
Like always, the fest has an amazing lineup set for audiences as revealed the names of the artists performing. Some of the artists performing would include B2K, Chingy, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Mario, Pretty Ricky, and Bobby V.
Drake announced that the whole event is going to start on the 29th of July. It is supposed to go on till the 5th of August. The music concert alone is going to go on for two nights on the 4th and 5th of August.
Fans go Berserk
Fans have been pretty excited about this announcement a lot of them took to Twitter with their opinions and how they feel. A few tweets were:
I NEED to see that Aug. 4 line-up so if everyone born after 2000 could just sit this year out…#OVOFest pic.twitter.com/JeywevGMLc

We don’t mind if Drake is bringing back the Millenium Tour. A good event with lots of fun thing to do organised by Drake? Why wouldn’t anyone want that? We know we would. What would you do?
