Epic Games is planning something big for the future

Recently, Epic Games has decided to open a new office in Detroit. However, the office won’t be developing games. Instead, the company has planned to bring the Unreal Engine in the market. Moreover, they are planning to release it in the automotive industry.

As per the sources, Epic Games looking forward to hiring up to fifteen expert support staff for the new office in Detroit. Also, the company is aiming to start the office by the end of 2019. Later on, they will work with automakers on applying Unreal technology to their marketing processes and design.

Ford and Audi

Other companies like Ford have already adapted tech as part of their business. The used VR and Unreal are scheduled to release its 2020 Explorer model. The show will be held at the New York International Auto Show in Manhattan.

Besides, Audi is also using Unreal for their customers to arrange their ideal rides. They are using interactive displays in 1,000 of its dealerships globally.

Currently, Heiko Wenczel attending various workshops, dubbed Unreal Academy. He is the head of the Epic Detroit Innovation Lab. The workshops mainly teach programmers how to use a game engine for auto design.
