FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 will captivate the world in less than 24 hours. The biggest question that is percolating people’s mind is “Who shall be the winner??” The experienced US is competing with the younger yet significantly talented Netherlands. The football match is set to take place in Lyon, France.
However, the main question for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 is whether can it increase the inclusion of women in sports all around the world or not?? Sounding absurd? Trust me it isn’t.
FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019
As the eighth position holder, the Dutch wait for their battle with the USA who proudly stands on the top of the list. FIFA has another obstacle to overcome! The FIFA Women World Cup has the potential of setting a milestone of enhancing women activity in sports. Encouraging more women and girls all around the globe to play football.
According to WHO, lack of physical activity has turned into a global public health problem. Escalating each year at a significant and alarming rate. Umpteen surveys have shown that women are comparatively less active than men. 34% women are expected to be below the required mark while only 28% men failed to cross it.
If truth be told, then in almost every county half of the women are insufficiently active. Leading them to be victims of obesity, cardiovascular diseases and even the most hazardous cancer.
Just like Global warming, pollution and brand-new Netflix and TV shows this phenomenon is rocketing to reach hell sooner than expected. Well, by reach hell I mean it’s rocketing more people towards hell each year.
Need for increasing women activity
If major steps are not taken immediately then major inevitable changes in the lives women shall take-over. The physical inactivity epidemic that has enveloped the world cannot be removed by the single soldier, football. However, football is definitely a key player in this battle.
FIFA Women’s World Cup has become a beacon of hope for it can inspire young girls to play and be active. Researches have shown that children who are active in their childhood, turn out to be healthy adults. In-short an early start can make the path easier to walk on.
The reason why football is chosen amongst all its sibling games is the simplicity and attraction of it. The easy, less restricting game is liked and loved by almost all. Let’s see if FIFA who already knows that responsibility lies on its shoulder will make good of it or not??
