Golden State Warriors announced guard Stephen Curry to receive the award for his contribution towards the community on Sunday. The award will be a new feather in the decorated cap of Curry.

Golden State Warriors to donate $15,000 to Stephen’s foundation
Stephen along with his wife Ayesha is operating the Stephen and Ayesha Curry foundation. They work to end malnourishment and promote a healthy lifestyle for poor children. Warriors Community Foundation has announced to donate a sum of $15,000 to curry’s foundation.

The foundation is working towards educating the unprivileged and promoting a healthy lifestyle. They also aim to address girls interested in the fields of science and math. They have announced a scholarship worth $30,000 to a girl registered for the program.
Curry also auctioned a match worn shoes to raise fund for STEM. The shoe was sold at a whopping $58,100 and all the money was used for the program.

Stephen is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry and has added to the inheritance indeed. Seth Curry, Stephen’s cousin, is also an NBA Player. Stephen set the record for most three-pointers in a season with 272 in 2015. He later broke his own record in 2016 scoring an astonishing 402.
