Google’s workshop for experimental products in Area 120 is building the Shoelace App. And, it is currently available only in New York on an invite-only basis. So, you might be one of those lucky residents from New York who can see people using Shoelace app around you.
Why “Shoelace”?
Are you also pondering about how the app got the name- “Shoelace”? According to the official statement on the App’s website, Shoelace is aimed at finding the people with common interests in a ‘loop’ like the two laces of a shoe.
How to sign up?
First and foremost, you need to have an active Google Account with at least Android 8.0 or iOS 11.0. Then, install the Shoelace App on your smartphone. The app will further ask you to join the community after proper verification of your profile.
