Entrepreneurs Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss also known as Winklevoss twins are popular internet entrepreneurs. Besides, they are the co-founders of HarvardConnection.
As per the sources, they sued Mark Zuckerberg (founder of Facebook) for stealing their ConnectU idea for developing the famous social networking site. In 2004, they also received $65 million from Zuckerberg. Later on, Winklevoss twins ventured into the cryptocurrency world.
Recently, they have gained over $2 billion by investing their money in cryptocurrency. Today, they have become Bitcoin Billionaires after venturing into the Bitcoin world. Also, a book is written on themselves titled as Bitcoin Billionaires: A True Story of Genius, Betrayal, and Redemption.
What is in the book?
In the past, the twins had hired their fellow student Mark Zuckerberg to help them with some coding for their new site. They were planning to launch it in some time. But they never knew that Zuckerberg would steal their idea and create his own site later.
The book starts with the final legal battle with Mark Zuckerberg. The brothers won the fight in the court and received US$65 million in the settlement. They decided to use the money for a good purpose and made their way to the world of Bitcoin.
Ben Mezrich's new book Bitcoin Billionaires about the Winklevi is brutal about the Zuckerberg / $FB settlement talks – the discussion of Zuck's IMs about early FB days is pretty insane:
