Amazon has finally revealed the full creative team that will be working on their upcoming Lord of The Rings series. And we can’t keep calm about it because it has some of the most amazing people from the industry. That alone is enough to tell us that Amazon is taking its new series pretty seriously.
Lord of the Rings Series Creative Team
The recently revealed members of the team are people who have worked on some of the best shows we know of. There are executive producers like Linsey Weber, Bruce Richmond who has worked on Game of Thrones, Gene Kelly and Sharon Tal Yguado.
Writer and executive producer Gennifer Hutchinson from Breaking Bad is on board too. So is Jason Cahill from The Sopranos.
Writer and executive producer Justin Doble from Stranger Things is also on the team. Consulting producers include Bryan Cogman from Game of Thrones and Stephany Folsom from Toy Story 4.
Producer of The Aviator, Ron Ames is also going to work on the series along with writer and co-producer Helen Shang from Hannibal.
The writing consultant is Glenise Mullins and the costume designer is Kate Hawley who worked on Suicide Squad. The production design is under Rick Heinrichs who has worked in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Visual effects are under Jason Smith from The Revenant. And illustrations and concept will be taken care of by John Howe.
The director for the pilot was announced earlier and it is the director from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom JA Boyana. He is all thrilled to work on Lord of The Rings as we are. When the news first came out he said:
JRR Tolkien created one of the most extraordinary and inspiring stories of all time, and as a lifelong fan it is an honor and a joy to join this amazing team. “I can’t wait to take audiences around the world to Middle-earth and have them discover the wonders of the Second Age, with a never before seen story.
JD Payne and Patrick McKay are leading the writing and are very “thrilled to work with Bayona and Belen”.
With such an amazing crew working on the series, we sure are gonna have a good time watching it. It’s going to be an explosion on the screen and we’re all up for it. Watch the first teaser of the series posted by the Lord of The Rings on Prime official twitter account.
