The casting has already begun for the Lord of the Rings TV series. A Kiwi recruitment company have put a call out for “Middle Earth” soldiers, villains as well as villagers.

Amazon’s long-rumoured is under production and the casting for the series has already begun in Auckland. The Talent agency has stated that actors who want to apply for the role should be living in Auckland, has to be ready to work flexible hours and have access to transport.
On June 3, Their advertisement was displayed on a Facebook page called The Talent agency Heroes and Villains NZ. However, the agency did not specifically mention that they are looking for the Lord of the Rings TV series cast, instead, they stated that they need a cast for “Middle Earth”. It is a fictional setting in the world of Lord of the Rings world.
Information required for the cast
The Facebook page Heroes and Villains NZ stated that the applicants are required to fill all the usual details along with hair colour, body dimensions, and three images. As per the reports, other casting agencies did not disclose whether they are casting actors for a series because it is confidential.
Besides, Spokeswoman Tracey Jackson revealed they are in need of cast, but cannot say what they are working on currently. She also said that they have numerous productions running and they are searching for all sorts of actors for different roles.

Earlier this month, news has been released that Amazon has decided to shoot various TV series in New Zealand. There is also speculation of Kumeu and Auckland film studios being involved with the new project.
We will have to wait for the confirmation. But if the rumours are true, then they are really recruiting cast for The Lord of the Rings series. As per the sources, more than four thousand extras were part of the past Lord of the Rings movies.
