MacKenzie Bezos, owner of the $36 billion worth of Amazon shares has decided to give away half of her wealth. Her full name is MacKenzie S. Tuttle Bezos. She is a novelist and the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos.

Besides, she also has donated some fund to cancer and Alzheimer’s research. She also founded an anti-bullying organization named Bystander Revolution. MacKenzie Bezos had earlier served as an Executive Director in Amazon.

Recently, MacKenzie Bezos has vowed to donate more than half of her fortune to the charity. She made an announcement and the pledge on May 28, 2019. Earlier this year, she appeared on the news for divorcing his husband Amazon founder and chief executive Jeff Bezos.
After her divorce is finalized, she will hold a 4 percent stake in Amazon. Moreover, her shares will be worth $36 billion. However, Jeff Bezos has decided to keep 12 percent of the shares of the company.

According to the sources, the value of the company is around $907 billion. That means Jeff Bezos has $108 billion stakes which makes him the richest person in the world. Due to public pressures, he is asked to donate some of his wealth to the charity by in his will or during their lifetimes.
Moreover, their give away was already planned in 2018. They had pledged to fund $2 billion to help homeless families and start preschools.
