Microsoft Flight Simulator: Know how to join the Insider Program for exclusive access

the new Microsoft Flight Simulator

Back in June at the E3, Microsoft Studios announced a brand new Microsoft Flight Simulator game. The previous Flight Simulator game released was in 2006 and the wait has been too long.

Microsoft Flight Simulator release date and how to play

Flight Simulators fans have waited over a decade and now they finally have a reason to rejoice. Even though Microsoft has kept the release date under wraps, players can take “test flights” sometime in August this year.

All you have to do is sign up for the Microsoft Flight Simulator Insider Program. This means that the preview builds will surely be following the August 2019 test program.

If you are selected for the Insider Program, you can surely provide some sort of feedback to the developers and get early access to the builds. Microsoft has also said there will be an exclusive forum for testers to discuss bugs amongst other things.

However, signing up for the program doesn’t guarantee you access to the preview build. If you go through the FAQ, you can clearly see Microsoft stating that everyone who joins the Insider program won’t be able to lay their hands on the test builds.

How do I join the Insider Program?

If you wish to enrol in the Insider Program, here’s what you need to do:

  • You should have a Microsoft account in order to be able to join the Insider Program. In case you don’t, you can create one for free.
  • Players also need to join the Xbox Insider Program and install the Xbox Insider Hub from the Microsoft Store.
  • Once you have completed the above steps, go to the signup page, enter your relevant details and click Sign up.

Once you are done joining the Insider Program, you will be notified if you are selected.

Except for a trailer, there no details are known about the game. In case you were wondering how the graphics are, the game is just photorealistic! Check out the trailer above and let us know what you think.
