Well, it is the year of The Witcher. With the latest trailer crossing boundaries all around the world, Witcher fans are dying to see Henry Cavill as the Geralt of Rivia.

The latest trailer/teaser created a hype amongst Witcher fans. The original game released back in 2007 and created a huge fan-base which will now serve as an audience to the Netflix series ‘The Witcher’.


The Witcher (game) follows Geralt of Rivia, an enhanced human who is trained to slay monsters in his path. The gameplay focuses on different results due to different in-game choices.

It is an action and roleplaying game published by Atari. It is originally based on Polish novels by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The Witcher Release Date

The Witcher season 1 will release on 20th December this year. It will be a series of 8 episodes. Just like other Netflix’s series, it is speculated that the time for each episode will be near to one hour.

There are approximately 20 characters who are series regular and above 25 characters who will appear during the series.

It is also confirmed that The Witcher will not feature the main villain. Instead, different monsters will appear during the series episodes. The trailer promises a dark-action-fantasy series and thus the hype amongst fans is real.

Henry Cavill has now become a fan favourite. After his roles in Man of Steel, Justice League and Mission Impossible Fallout, Cavill again will feature in one of the most anticipated roles ever.

Well, no one ever imagined Cavill in the role of Geralt, all but one. An Instagram account named bosslogic reimagined Henry as The Geralt of Rivia. Netflix after observing the amazing work, got it done on the basis of the number of fan requests.
