The New England Patriots released Antonio Brown as they were thought it would be too much of a trouble if NFL bans him later. When the Patriots signed Brown, he only had issues with the Oakland Raiders team and there was no sexual allegations lawsuit filed against him.

But the rape charges and Brown threatening the woman who accused him changed everything. The Patriots released him to save their goodwill and none of the other NFL teams is ready for the same. NFL teams will wait for all the legal matters to get over and if Brown is clear, then they will sign him for a deal.
