OnePlus has always tried to keep its earlier flagships up-to-date by introducing new updates constantly. Now, they have rolled out OxygenOS Open Beta Update as an OTA update for its flagship smartphones of 2018 earlier today. While OnePlus 6 received OxygenOS Open Beta 21 update, OnePlus 6T got Open Beta 13.
The previous update
Nearly a week ago, OnePlus even rolled out an update for OnePlus 5/5T/6/6T which came with the new Fnatic mode and Digital WellBeing. Fnatic Mode was previously seen in OnePlus 7/7Pro which is basically meant for boosting the performance & improving the user’s experience while gaming. Whereas, Digital WellBeing is aimed at reducing the digital distraction and detox.
The Change-Log
The new change-log didn’t seem to be as appealing as the last Open Beta Updates. It offers general bug fixes and stability improvements. It even improves animation effects while switching pages and exploring contacts. Apart from this, it adds three new features which are listed below.
OxygenOS Open Beta Update adds three new features
- The most significant feature is the in-built screen recorder which gives the ability to record the framerate of videos. It was first rolled out in OnePlus 7 Pro with open beta 19/11.
- The other feature is added to the weather app. You can now rearrange and delete the weather cards for multiple cities by tapping or holding them.
- Lastly, the users can now edit Quick Responses in the built-in app. It even offers Optimized Quick Responses for a declined call.
