Now, Thomas Shelby fans won’t have to wait for the arrival of Peaky Blinders Season 5 until the mid-winter. Sources revealed that show creators have finally confirmed the air date of the upcoming season. The series will return to your tv screens on August 25 at 9 pm in the UK.

Fans have waited for more than 8 months because the fourth season released on Netflix on December 19, 2018. It was a long wait, indeed! Peaky Blinders Season 5 is shifting to a new home

According to sources, the fifth season of Peaky Blinders will be airing on the new network. Besides, BBC One will be taking over from BBC Two from the fifth season onwards.

The BAFTA awards winner Caryn Mandabach (producer of Peaky Blinders) while moving to BBC One stated that BBC network has been a great home for the series team since the beginning.

Recently, Helen McCrory who plays the role of Aunt Polly / Polly Gray in Peaky Blinders revealed that the upcoming season is going to be violent, and she won’t be able to watch it. Also, Thomas’s family will tackle with the Wall Street Crash in 1929.

Furthermore, Shelby family will have to be extra careful after the arrival of a charismatic politician Oswald Mosley (played by Sam Claflin). Their world will be thrown into chaos and there is no point of return! The forthcoming season is about to get dirtier and fans might see the rise of fascism in the UK.

We all have studied history and know a few things about Oswald Mosley. In 1930, he was a far-right politician who became the lead the British Union of Fascists in the UK. Even Steven Knight previously stated that the story would be taken to the beginning of World War 2 in 1939.
