Zion Williamson’s debut game at NBA summer league was legendary. He marked his name in history with golden words and also golden ‘dunks’. His first shot itself was a dunk which was quite impressive for a debutant.
The first quarter of his NBA debut league game showcased his skills as a Basketball player. Even after his first dunk, he dunked thrice in the same quarter. He was still 3-for-6 at the foul line at the end of the game.
Riding Zion Williamson excitement, Las Vegas Summer League has sold out 17,500 seats for Friday's Pelicans vs. Knicks.
– General admission day passes are being scalped for $80.
– Lower bowl tickets re-selling for $400+.
– 1,000 media credentials have been issued, a new record. pic.twitter.com/DdGHxTgI02— Ben Golliver (@BenGolliver) July 5, 2019
His overall stats at the end are:
- Total Game time – 9 minutes and 10 seconds.
- One k2k hit in the 2nd quarter (knee-to-knee).
- Total points – 11.
- The number of total rebounds – three.
- He even steals the ball once in the game, so steal count = 1.
His game on display was on fire. The New Orleans Pelicans avoided introducing him more as he had a minor injury and they took precautions. LeBron James also came to watch and was sitting with ‘Lakers‘ mate Davis.
There were many Basketball celebs who also came to watch the match. Some of them are, DeMar DeRozan, Jaren, Buddy Hield, Trae Young and Ja Morant.
The game was not smooth though, an Earthquake struck California that day and it was felt in Las Vegas too. This affected the game timings. The game was delayed by 7 Minutes and 53 seconds in the Fourth quarter.
During Layup lines, Zion Williamson already showed the audience what he was ready for. He did some pretty advanced dunks and was already prepared. He could’ve dunked the ball in the first attack itself but was fouled upon before he could get a hold of the ball.
Losses?
In approximately 2 minutes he got 3 dunks in the game. However, he also messed up sometimes in the game which cost him 5 shots which included 2 three-pointers shot.
You can obviously watch the match and can see how much the fans love him as they were chanting his name in the game.
