Neill Blomkamp is still working on the RoboCop sequel. The RoboCop franchise has created four films and two TV series. The first American cyberpunk action film first premiered in 1987.
RoboCop Returns will star Neill Blomkamp
Neill Blomkamp has directed, written, and produced films like Chappie, District 9, Alive in Joburg, The Escape, and many more. Unfortunately, Blomkamp won’t be making a new Aliens sequel named District 9 that fans have been begging for.

But, he is going to create a sequel to RoboCop. Moreover, the film is set to follow-up the original classic film of Paul Verhoeven. As per the reports, Blomkamp is rewriting the script written by the original RoboCop scribes Michael Miner and Ed Neumeier in 1980s. The title of the new film is RoboCop Returns.

After the announcement, fans have been bombarding Neill Blomkamp with questions about the RoboCop Returns film. Recently, Blomkamp tweeted that the script is being written. Fans are even asking whether the new film will feature the original RoboCop suit.
Later on, Blomkamp gave an assurance to them that they will get to see the original suit. However, we are still unclear whether fans will be able to see Peter Weller inside that original suit. Besides, fans will have to wait for the official announcement by the creators.

Moreover, we can expect the film from Blomkamp’s tweet is that his work is in progress. Also, we can hope for the film to release in 2019 or 2020.
