The Blade trilogy helped shepherd comics and superheroes to the big screen. Combining the collections of all three films the movie earned over $400 million at the box office.
The Blade character was created way back in 1973 by Marv Wolfman as a supporting character in the comic book “The Tomb of Dracula”.
Ali in for another gem performance
Something which the studio needs to figure out at some point is to balance Ali’s role as Blade and as Cornell from Netflix’ series, which in turn is also a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Provided the tense connections between the two franchises. He has also lent his voice for Miles Morales in Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. He’s certainly not a stranger to superheroes.
Mahershala Ali fans are super excited with the news and are expecting that the superstar will do justice to this role as well. He has always given his best to whatever comes his way and hopefully, this will also be one of those instances.
