Spider Man: Far from Home is as one of the most awaited movies of the year. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have been waiting for its release for months. However, very few fans know that they have missed the chance of witnessing Anthony Mackie as the Captain America.
Anthony slipped the chance of becoming the Captain America
Yes fellow MCU fans such an opportunity came and went away without your knowledge. Eric Carroll, who owns the position of the creative executive of the film accepted the fact himself. While talking with the ComicBook.com he revealed this massive secret.
Witnessing Anthony Mackie in the character of Captain America in Captain America would have been wonderful. However, it looks like Sony as well as Marvel Studios considered solo mission as more acceptable. Ergo, following a storyline in which Peter Parker takes the stage alone as the sole hero.
Eric said to The ComicBook.com
We briefly talked about bringing in Falcon as Captain America at the end, like maybe once Peter’s arced, and he’s sort of like leading the team, like maybe he calls in a favour.”
However later he decided against it, thus taking up the original idea. Even Kevin Feige agreed with the idea of making Spider Man: Far from Home a film that portrayed Spider Man as a hero. The film is featuring Spider Man as a character free from the clutches and shadows of all the other Avengers.
Spider Man: Far from Home-What to expect?
It is a movie that shows Spider Man stepping up as well as freeing himself. From the shadow of not only the deceased Tony Starks but also from the influence of other Avenger heroes. Well, if truth be told then Peter is a true hero in every sense. Ergo he doesn’t have to be any-ones shadow ever.
Though the idea of making Falcon, Captain America has been dropped at the moment but it is not the end of it. There is still hope that idea might be reconsidered later on, in some other film. So keep your hopes up dear mates. It might actually happen one day.
