Finally, the official title of upcoming Star Trek series is revealed. Patrick Stewart calls him as Star Trek:Picard.
Some major insights in the series
The speculations about the name were on since last summer after the very first announcement of the series. Stewart is hell excited about his comeback role as Starfleet Captain. The cast is onto something new this series. Alex Kurtzman revealed that he cried after Stewart scripted the first episode of the series. The storyline of the episode touched him so deeply.
Also, CBS has released the very first logo of Star Trek:Picard. The logo stands upto your expectations. Further details about the series, Star Trek:Picard haven’t released yet.
The show will premiere at the later month of 2019. It will air on the channel CBS All Access. Although, any official date regarding the premiere hasn’t been released yet.
Star Trek:Picard – Something fresh in the storyline?
The show will face a 20 years leap. It will begin from the place Captain Picard was last seen. The character will be completely transformed this season. In the beginning, Stewart was recultant to work with the franchise again, but he believes the story to be worth-telling, which in itself is a clue for all of us.
Executive producer Alex Kurtzman revealed that,
“While not a lot of information is now available for the new series, we do know that it will be having a tie-in to the most recent big screen adaptations.”
The major storyline of Star Trek:Picard will use the concept of destruction of Romulus. The event also served as the main idea behind J.J. Abrams’ movie in 2009.
The Romulans were considered one of the main enemies of Captain Picard and the Next Generation crew. The fans can soon expect a trailer from makers of Star Trek:Picard. Besides Patrick Stewart, the series will be starring Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Harry Treadaway and Michelle Hurd.
