The official trailer of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which is being directed by J.J. Abrams is finally out. This movie will be the last and final part of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. During the panel discussion of the Star Wars, Lucasfilm debuted the very first trailer for Episode IX.
The director of the film, Abrams says that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases after the Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi. That very film also witnessed the death of Luke Skywalker after the showdown with nephew, Kilo Ren.
The last part will bring out the best possible cast. It will involve Mark Hamill (Shown as the Force Ghost), Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams, who will play his role as Lando Calrissian. A few more actors are Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, etc.
Just by looking at the trailer it becomes clear that the villain of Star Wars is back. Ian McDiarmid played the role of Palpatine in prequels and the original trilogy.
However, people should note that The Rise of Skywalker could be the last part for quite a few time. One of the reasons which can be highlighted is the stagnant box office collection of the previous film.
Whenever films start getting stagnant, then the sequel should come out after a long break. Therefore, films will take their own sweet time to release now. The scheduled date for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is on 20th December 2019.
