SteelSeries has made an announcement about two new mechanical keyboards at Computex. The two mechanical keyboards, Apex Pro TKL and the Apex Pro will be featuring the OmniPoint, Adjustable Actuation Switches.
The switches are not any traditional mechanical switches. The keyboards Apex Pro and Apex ProTKL have magnetic sensors. These magnetic sensors allow the user to pull the actuation distance according to the application.
This distance can be adjusted of 3.6mm to 0.4mm. This effectively lets the user use the keyboard for doing typing as well as playing the games.
Apart from this, the two new keyboard models Apex Pro TKL and Apex Pro will also be featuring an OLED screen. This provides a number of features. Like the users can now switch between the locally stored profiles, with differing activation distances.
We're not just changing the game, we're re-inventing it✊
Introducing the new Apex Pro:
▶️5x FASTER ACTUATION
▶️8x FASTER RESPONSE TIME
▶️THE FASTEST KEYBOARD OF ALL TIME

In addition to this, the roller that is available beside it can control the volume and other settings. This depends on the choice in the SteelSeries engine. Also, the company has announced Apex 7 TKL and the Apex 7 models. These models are however similar to the Pro series models.

But these new models will be having the traditional mechanical switches rather than the OmniPoint. The cost of these models will be less than the price of the Pro series models.
