However, unlike Red Son, Man of Tomorrow will be an original film. Superman: Red Son will be based on the pretty famous comic book Red Son. This storyline is not related to the original timeline of DC comics. It is an Elseworld comic and is based on ‘What would’ve happened if”?

DC Superman Red Son

It was scripted by Mark Miller in 2003. The storyline follows as Superman’s ship lands in USSR rather than Kansas. The timeline follows that of the cold war. There are also other good Elseworlds comics that can be adapted. Some of them are,

  • Batman/Lobo
  • Dark Knight of the Round table.
  • Superman: Kal
  • Elseworld’s finest
  • Justice League: Created Equally.

Other characters in the movie will include Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Brainiac and the arch-nemesis Lex Luthor. Superman’s animated movies have become quite common now. 2019 also started with Reign of Supermen which was a sequel to 2018’s Death of Superman.

Some other superman’s animated movies are Superman: Unbound, All-Star Superman and Superman: Doomsday.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow

Man of Tomorrow will follow a young Clark Kent as he learns his ways to become the greatest superhero figure of all times. Moreover, Batman: Hush will be available digitally over the world on 20th July. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 6th august.

The synopsis of Red Son is as follows,

“Imagine a reality where the world’s most powerful super-being does not grow up in Smallville, Kansas or even America,”
