Tom Hardy gave an exceptional performance as James Delaney. But due to the dark and brutal story-line, Taboo had its own niche audience. There was no news on the shows return, about the plot or if the season will return at all.

The executive producer of Taboo, Harvey Knight, have hinted some facts about the upcoming season of Taboo. He suggested that Taboo Season 2 will be having eight episodes that will conclude the season. And that the team is working on the project, and that soon fan can enjoy the glimpse.
The exact air-date of taboo is unknown.
Previously, Season 2 of the show was announced in 2017, the team had mentioned Taboo Season 2 returning in 2018. But since that boat has already sailed, we can but assume that the show should return in late 2019 or 2020.
Recently, executive producer of the show Steven Knight said that the filming might happen in 2020, and not before that. So, if we anticipate the earliest release, then it could be late 2020!
