Taco Bell fires workers over a brawl

A video has emerged of a brawl outside Taco Bell in City Center, Philadelphia. The footage shows Taco Bell employees assaulting a customer and his girlfriend brutally after following them outside.

On the evening of Feb 24, Bryan Reese, 38, decided to pick up his friends who were waiting in line to get food from the local Taco Bell. After waiting for 45 minutes for his order, Reese complained that it was taking too long. He was told by the employees that the GrubHub orders from Chestnut street were a priority.

As Reese backed out of the store, he was followed by three employees outside. The shocking video shows that the three men started beating him up immediately. When his girlfriend complained, she was tackled to the ground and beaten up too.

“They put me on the ground, and I don’t really remember too much else. Except for when I got up, my girlfriend was on the ground being beat, too. She wasn’t even in the store at the time,” Reese said.

After complaining to Taco Bell, Reese waited a week before he posted the video to Twitter. He was offered a $20 gift card initially. As soon as the video made its presence known, the company was quick to offer an apology and claims to have terminated all 6 employees.

Reese’s friend Joe Boback recorded the video on his cellphone and has stated that it was traumatic to watch his friends getting attacked for no reason. Reese and his girlfriend were both heavily injured during the assault. The incident is now under investigation as per the Philadelphia police.
