These pictures were from the movie sets in Andalusia, Spain. These pictures featured the crew concocting a desert set, in the Almeria city with scattered skeletons in sand.

If the reports of The Hollywood reporter are to be believed, Mackenzie Davis will also be one of the cast joining the new Terminator film. Sources close to THR have suggested that though Davis will play a crucial part in the movie, but there is a possibility of another bigger role, that might slip to some other actress.
Release date of Terminator: Dark Fate
In April 2018, Paramount Pictures announced the release date of the new Terminator movie as July 2019. But subsequently this date has now been pushed to November 1, 2019. Surely, the wait is going to be worthwhile.
When will shooting begin for Terminator Sequel
We know from various sources that filming of the movie Terminator: Dark Fate began in the summer last year, 2018. And speaking to fan site, TheArnoldFans, Schwarzenegger confirmed the same.
“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that. I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s going to be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”
An Interview with Cameron and Miller: Insights into the new Terminator Movie Trilogy:
On September 27, 2017, The Hollywood Reporter did an extensive interview with Cameron and Miller. This interview gives us a lot of juicy information on the new terminator movie.
The Plot of Terminator: Dark Fate
A lot of questions come to all of our minds when we think about the renewal of the Terminator franchise for a Terminator sequel. Will the new sequel be a continuation of what we have seen so far in the last four terminator movies? How will it weave in all the backstories of the last terminator movies?
James Cameron confirmed that the upcoming Terminator trilogy will follow Terminator 2 sequentially. He stated that he is more than happy to pretend that last three movies were a bad dream, or maybe it was happening in an alternative timeline, in a parallel universe.
Miller and Cameron said that their basic concept of the plot about the Terminator movies — artificial intelligence becoming self-aware about their existence and then over riding the set human commands — is pretty possible today, given recent advancements in technology.
Are we going to see some new generation of Terminators?
Well, it is most likely that we will be seeing some new faces. With Schwarzenegger being 70 and Hamilton 61 — Cameron agreed that he will be looking for fresh faces.
“A lot of this is handing off the baton to a new generation of characters,” he explained. “We’re starting a search for an 18-something young woman to essentially be the new center-piece of these stories.”
An aging T-800 in the new Terminator movie:
Cameron and Miller also suggested that agent T-800, Schwarzenegger’s Terminator character will show signs of age in the new trilogy:
“You don’t have to get around [Arnold’s age]. The beauty of it is: He’s a cyborg. And so, the org part is on the outside, meaning organism … there’s this idea that flesh sort of sheaths over a metal endoskeleton. So that would age normally. So, obviously he’s one that’s been in action and operation for a long time. And that’s all I want to say about the actual story part of it.”
Miller teased that the T-800 character will have grown and evolved under the hood as well, saying “… they’re learning machines.”
Linda Hamilton returns in Terminator: Dark Fate:
Well this is again a very exciting news for all the terminator fans. Linda Hamilton played Connor in the first two films. She however declined her role in the third sequel of the movie, as she felt the story was complete with the first two movies. And she was never thrilled that the franchise was continuing. Though she agreed to lend her voice for the fourth franchise of the film.
“I thought it was perfect with two films,” she said.. “It was a complete circle, and it was enough in itself. But there will always be those who will try and milk the cow.”
So, the fact that she has signed up for the new terminator movie, really looks promising.
Though many say that the real reason for Hamilton to have parted way with the Terminator franchise was because her then husband James Cameron stepped down from his directorial shoes. She also credit the success of Terminator franchise to Cameron. And Cameron’s return as the producer in the new terminator movie must have also played a role in wooing her back to the team.
We are expecting for the upcoming Terminator movie, whose working title is Terminator: Dark Fate to be a beginning of another trilogy. And we are sure fans will not be disappointed.
