The Chainsmokers released their latest song Takeaway in collaboration with Illenium on Wednesday, July 24th 2019. The former has done great work in the EDM-Pop genre.
The latter is very famous for his work in remixing songs. So when three very talented and successful musicians join hands to create something, we now its amazing.
This is their first time officially working together. But Illenium has remixed one of The Chainsmokers’ songs and it is one of his most notable works. Remember Don’t Let Me Down by The Chainsmokers and Daya that won a Grammy? Illenium created his own remix of the song. You can check it out here:
Though the song released only yesterday, fans had been waiting for this release since March. The first time the song premiered was at The Ultra Music Festival in Miami when The Chainsmokers got Illenium on the stage to perform. 4 months later, here we are with the song that features vocals from Drew Taggart and Lennon Stella.
The iconic duo is also going to start their World War Joy Tour in North America really soon. Their tour starts in September and will go on till mid-November. They announced this on their Twitter, back in February. You can get your tickets here.

With so many collabs coming out by different artists, there’s definitely an environment of co-creation and mutual growth in the music industry. Whatever the pattern may be, we love how it works in our favour and keeps giving amazing music from musicians we love. There’s nothing to complain about.
