Warriors looking to trade Iguodala and much more

Golden State Warriors just moments after completing the signing of D’Angelo Russell from the Brooklyn Nets. The warriors also roped in Andre Iguodala and future first-rounder to the Memphis Grizzlies to make the deal done salary wise. Andre Iguodala has always been an elementary part of the Golden states team. He helped his team to be crowned as the winners three times and also reach the NBA finals for five consecutive seasons.

Iguodala has had his best experiences at the clubs. He has played vital roles in playoffs. This includes one of his best performances at the club in Dubs’ 2015 championship run which propelled him to grab Finals MVP honours. Also, his crucial three-pointers at the end of Game 2 against the Toronto Raptors helped Warriors even that series.

However, when the Warriors came to know that Kevin Durant was roped in by Brooklyn Nets. They were pacy enough to negotiate trades in order to get something in exchange for Durant. In return, they signed Russell as compensation for the trade-off.

Iguodala still unclear with future plans:

But it is still unclear what lies ahead for Iguodala. Andre is still having one year left in his deal, and moving from a champion team to a team in a building like the Grizzlies might not be suitable for him. Especially because he is on the tail end of his career.

Also if Iggy wishes to embrace his new roles in Memphis Grizzlies it would be good for him. He can turn out to be a great mentor for all the young prodigies in the club. Warriors fans would not be happy at all with the trading away Iguodala. But the Warriors are doing their level best to remain in contention for the championships. The sign and trade for D’Angelo Russell from the Brooklyn is a testament for that.
