Serena Williams easily made way into the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the 14th time defeating Carla Suarez Navarro on the No. 1 court with points settled at 6-2,6-2. Williams won six sets straight from 3-2 to easily grasp the match. She raised both her arms in celebration after the fifth break getting a 5-2 lead in the second set. Serena set out to victory with Navarro sending a backhand wide.
Serena is well on her way to eighth Wimbledon Title after finishing on the losing side last year against Angelique Kerber. William has never lost a set against Navarro in the seven meetings that they have played. Williams will be facing fellow American Alison Riske, who has recently defeated Ash Barty creating an upset.

Also, Barbora Stycova came back from a set and a break down to defeat Elise Mertens 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Mertens was ahead in the second set with 5-2 but went on to lose 9 straight sets to go to 4-0 down in the second.

American player Alison Riske came from a set down to upset the Top ranked Ash Barty 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 at Wimbledon to reach her first Quarter-finals. She will be facing Serena Williams in the quarter-finals.
Zhang Shuai defeated Dayana Yastremska 6-4,1-6,6-2.

Tennis is ongoing on the busiest day in Grand Slam tennis: as the Wimbledon’s famously called “Manic Monday”. Top-ranked Ash Barty is taking on 55th ranked Alison Riske on court no. 2.
