Windows 7 users are still refusing to use Windows 10, why is it so?

It’s been around 4 years since Windows 10 was launched but most people still don’t want to upgrade their operating system to Windows 10 or even Windows 8.

There is no doubt that Windows 7 is a damn good operating system till now. The majority of people like it because of the way it works.

But somewhere it becomes a problem for Microsoft because people refuse to shift their operating system. This is because it covers all the needs of users.  Moreover, it is very easy to understand and use.

This is why we don’t get shocked when we see the reports of “Net Market Share” and according to that report Windows 7 share barely budged from 36.52% to 36.43%. It means hardly anyone upgraded their operating system from Windows 7 to another version of Windows.

If we talk about the market share of other Windows OS then Windows 10 has 44.10% share. Whereas Windows 8 has 4.22% share in this.

But what is the reason behind that? The reason is very simple. Windows 7 users are getting great support so because of that Microsoft just announced that they will terminate the support or security updates for Windows 7 after January 14h 2020.

This step will force users to shift their operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. In-case they don’t, then all the Windows 7 users would face problem regarding a security update.

Back in March 2019, Microsoft announced that there would be more than 800 million users for its latest OS.  Now using that figure we can estimate that there are around 660 million users of Windows 7. This is quite a big number.
