Xbox Live is an online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery platform. It is available on the Xbox 360 gaming console, Windows PCs and Windows Phone devices. It is available at a monthly fee and is operated by Microsoft.
According to Microsoft and multiple Xbox live users. It is down across many devices and Windows 10 devices. At the moment, it’s unclear what the issue is or when it will be remedied. Microsoft is well aware of the problem and is working on a solution.
This could mean you’re unable to get online or play games on Xbox One, PC, and any other devices that rely on Xbox Live. These problems have lasted for several hours now.
Furthermore, it is an unanswered question that if all PC’s are affected or only some remain. Microsoft says the “core” Xbox Live services are all down, which means you can’t sign into it.
Just like PS network(Play Station Network), these type of issues are not rare and occur more frequently than former. Generally Xbox’s issues are solved pretty fast, but in this case, users are reporting this issue for more than 4-5 hours. This can lead to a huge problem for Xbox in the near future as a bigger issue may occur which may not be resolved quickly.
The news was confirmed on the Xbox Support Twitter account, which initially acknowledged reports of sign-in issues before delivering a more recent update that states,
“We’re currently still investigating error code 0x87DD0006 when attempting to sign in to our services across devices, we appreciate your ongoing patience. We’ll update again here, as well as our status page, when we have more info.”
